The filmmaker’s American Werewolf in London was a hit years before the actual fashion of comedies and romance onto werewolf and vampire pictures; in fact in some ways it gave these other movies the ideas. Maybe it’s the nostalgia that has prompted Dimension Films to develop a new movie of An American Werewolf in London, whatever the reason the Weinstein Co. division bought remake rights to the 1981 film, which starred Naughton as a United States tourist who believes he is being hunted down by a werewolf, from Landis in June of 2009. But some viewers would like to know what they are up to.

The original movie wasn’t all that bad so a new version should be awesome.
