Their friendship falters when they discover that they are both infatuated with the same young man, and so the competition begins once again. Amazingly, going toe to toe once again hits home because this isn’t just a black white thing, the girls both like the same guy and when love is involved that’s a totally different story. Unfortunately the two girls get into a shoving match on the Lacrosse field and ironically bad words are being painted on both lockers and they are being vandalized. And yet, is it the girls or something different like someone doesn’t want them to be friends and is sabotaging. Determined to find out the truth the two adhere to a truce to find out if this is true or not, still distrusting they watch each other like a hawk. But they still cant figure out what it is they are supposed to be looking for. Obviously someone who doesn’t want them to be friends. And yet, these two are determined to succeed by building a better future outside of Anacostia. One is a student from the poorest side of Washington while the other is just the opposite. Though the relationship between the two girls is destined for ruin they are more than determined not to let that happen. However, others see it differently.

The very fact that they are so different promises a lot of problems for both of them should they continue to stay friends and build on that relationship. This is literally a love hate relationship that both girls are unsure how the future for them will end up. They both strive to hang on while sometimes arguing from listening to others and then turning around and banding together against those who are against their relationship.

And yet, they try desperately to continue with the relationship and keep peace between themselves although society is telling them just the opposite. Between them there is hatred and yet there is a loving bond too. This is definitely a unique movie that will be sure to get the attention of a lot of people who are going through the exact same thing in real life. Will the two make it together against society or will society take care of the problem and break them apart?
