Hugh Grant has been weighing a big move replacing the fired Charlie Sheen on CBS’ “Two And A Half Men”. a person familiar with the situation told sources on Wednesday the British film actor was in negotiations to join the sitcom as its new leading man. The person, speaking on condition of anonymity because producer Warner Bros. and CBS hadn’t authorized public comment,, said the talks had stalled without resolution.
But it was unclear whether Grant’s hiring was a closed issue, the source said. Reports that Grant had been offered a large sum of money per episode were inaccurate at this time. Charlie Sheen was among television’s highest paid actors per episode.
Hugh Grant’s publicist didn’t immediately return a call for comment. The actor, who became a star in romantic comedies hasn’t appeared in a box office hit for several years.
Warner, CBS, and executive producer Chuck Lorre are attempting to find a new star and revamped format that would keep televisions top rated and highly lucrative sitcom afloat without Charlie Sheen. After seven seasons of the office Scranton regional manager Michael Scott has left the office as promised, in a fond farewell for the actor who played him, series star Steve Carell. Carell is leaving the NBC comedy after seven seasons to concentrate on films. Charlie Sheen Involved In Investigation
According to sources Charlie Sheen is fond of boasting about his winning ways, but D.C authorities are now investigating how he won a high speed police escort on his way to a show in downtown Washington this week. Sheen posted a photo on his twitter account Tuesday night showing a police car ahead of him with emergency lights flashing as he was escorted at least part of the way from the airport to his concert destination. It was not clear exactly where along the route that the photo was taken.
At the time, the former Two and a Half Men star was running nearly an hour late for the show after having spent the early part of his day in divorce court in Los Angeles for custody hearing over the twin sons he shares with his estranged wife.
The police escort is the latest bit of news for the celebrity actor, who’s waged a high profile court fight to get his sitcom job back. He also has given a series of televiion interviews in recent months that have launched phrases like “ winning and tiger blood” into the popular vernacular.
The D.C police chief said in a statement Friday that the escort conducted by the departments special operations division, appeared to violate police protocol in multiple ways and was being investigated by the internal affairs division. She also stated that emergency equipment, such as sirens and lights, was not to be used in non emergency situations and that members of the department do not operate in this way. How Charlie Sheen obtained an escort is still uncertain but the investigation is still under way.
Betty White To Host NBC Reality Show
The always on the go Betty White is taking on reality television with a hidden camera show that turns senior citizens into merry pranksters. NBC has ordered 12 episodes of “Betty White And The Rockers”, the working title for a series based on a hit Belgian program that has been produced in other European countries and south Korea. She told sources that people have been telling her she is off her rocker for years, now she can prove it, she joked in a statement.
The reality show follows seven seniors who band together to play pranks on younger people with Betty White helping conspire to put one over on the unsuspecting youth of America. Betty White who is 89 years old has a track record on NBC. She starred in the network’s sitcom the Golden Girls for seven seaosns and won an Emmy last year as the host of Saturday Night Live.
The actress also stars in the TV Land sitcom, Hot In Cleveland, which has been renewed for a third season, and has a book, set for release in May.
The reality show’s format has been licensed for the United States by Kinetic content, which will produce the series for NBC in consultation with the original Belgian producer.

Hall), the responsible son, Cheri (Sarah Silverman) a would-be actress and singer-songwriter, Nathan (Ben Schwartz), a successful writer, and Joel (Rainn Wilson), the black sheep of the family who has been to rehab three times and is constantly in legal trouble, come together to celebrate their father’s birthday after Nathan publishes a novel that exposes the family’s most intimate secrets- that is also being made into a movie that’s filming outside Cheri’s window. The four must come to terms with their dislike of each other for their father’s sake and for the sake of getting on with their lives.
Wrapping It Up: Peep World stops at mildly amusing, a level it reaches primarily because of Sarah Silverman. Silverman’s uncontained seething goes way over the top, but the comedian knows her way around phony self-righteousness. In truth, this familial expose movie doesn’t drive much else in the plot. If the members of the Meyerwitz family have enough internal conflicts to drive a novel, they have more than enough to drive a light sitcom feature like “Peep World” on their own. Oh, and let’s not forget the particularly flat lighting throughout.

Charlie Sheen Files Lawsuit Against Warners
According to sources Charlie Sheen brought his verbal war against Warner Bros. and the executive producer of Two And A Half Men to the courtroom on Thursday, filing a one hundred million dollar lawsuit seeking to recoup his salary and wages for the show’s crew.
The breach of contract lawsuit alleges production was halted on the CBS sitcom to punish Charlie Sheen for recent behavior that has included two hospitalization and, in recent weeks, a series of interviews where he has attacked executive producer Chuck Lorre.
The filing comes four days after Sheen was fired from Two And A Half Men, leaving the top rated sitcom’s future in dismay. Charlie Sheen’s lawsuit alleges that Warner Bros. bowed to Lorre’s desire to punish Charlie Sheen, and that the producer and studio conspired to blame the actor for causing production to stop. The suit also was filed on behalf of the sitcom’s crew, which was put out of work.
Warner Bros. declined to comment on the suit. However, Lorre’s attorney did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment. On top of the request for damages, the 45 year old actor is seeking punitive damages. The complaint states that Charlie Sheen’s most recent contract, executed last May, entitles him to be paid whether or not the series films for up to 24 episodes per season through late 2011. Charlie Sheen’s lawsuit states that he attempted to return to the series in February, but was told that Lorre had not prepared production scripts for the season’s remaining episodes, which was later shortened.
Charlie Sheen’s firing had followed a rare, raging public battle between a Hollywood star and those who employ him, with Charlie Sheen claiming the right to live as he pleased, including the use of illegal drugs, although he’s said he is currently clean. As long as he showed up sober and ready to work.
Charlie Sheen Vows To Get Twin Sons Back
According to sources there are several stories going around today including the one about his twin sons being removed from his home. Charlie Sheen says that after his two young sons were removed from his house overnight he is very calm and focused but ready to fight to get them back.

Charlie Sheen Wants Raise To Come Back To Show
According to sources Charlie Sheen says he wants a raise to come back to the CBS show Two And a Half Men. The troubled star told sources on dueling interview Monday to continue an attack on CBS and the producers of his hit sitcom for shutting down the show because of his off set behavior. Both ABC’s Good Morning America and the NBC Today show featured him in their first half hours.
Others sources are asking questions and wondering is this guy crazy, kidding or just messing around? As much as he has done how can he possibly ask for a raise from a network that he has put down for so long the past few weeks. The NBC interview started when Charlie Sheen claimed he wanted to be paid three million dollars per episode instead of the 1.8 million per episode that he is already being paid.
He is claiming it is them that have put him through too much and if they want him back on the show Two and A Half Men then he definitely wants a raise. He told sources it is only fair as much grief as he went through lately. Charlie Sheen has been in and out of hospitals over the past few months as well as being in rehab, how can he possibly ask for a raise? The network literally shut down the production of the show which literally had to be hard on CBS. And, is he thinking about the other actors who are on the show? He can’t possibly believe that he “makes” the entire show. There are others to think of as well. However, plain as day he spoke in his interview that he definitely wanted a raise to come back to the show.
