Mars The Movie

Mars The Movie

Mars the Movie has not got a release date as of yet, nor does it have a rating. It is an animation, romance, and science fiction movie. However the producers and directors hope it goes over well at the movie theaters and box offices.

In 2014, the discovery of life on the red planet leads to a space race between a robotic expedition and a manned mission. Over the course of this interplanetary animated feature a lonesome robot and a motley space crew discover that love can flourish anywhere. This is true even on Mars. Told in the playful style of a graphic novel, Mars explores why we explore.

There isn’t a lot about this movie that has been released yet however the information we do have insists that it is a movie people are going to want to go to theaters and see. It somewhat reminds you of the movie Wall e. And in essence everyone loved that movie so Mars should be quite the movie for its time as well. The movie stars Mark Duplass and it is sure to be interesting with him in it. And considering it is an animation romance one can only speculate at this point where that leads. Mars the movie will be something to see once it is released, however we don’t know if it is going to be considered a family movie yet or not.

Mars will be released soon and when we get the information and details of the movie such as the release date we will follow up and pass that information on to you. If you have any questions or comments about this movie we would love to hear from you. You can post your comments here or on the many different forums we have on our web site. You might just find something else interesting you want to comment on.

Repo Men Repo Body Parts?

Repo Men Repo Body Parts?

This movie is rated R and totally science fiction and yet, that shouldn’t surprise you in the lease whe you find out what’s really going on in the movie. It seems that almost every human has some organ or part on his or her body that isn’t real. What this means is that well, someone might have a lung that is made by mad, an arm that’s made by man, and even the heart is an organ that can be considered not a part of the human body.

So what happens when you have one of these surgeries done and you overall can’t pay for the procedure after its done? Obviously, that’s where the repo men come in. You have heard about repo men coming to get furniture, a car, something, but a body part? That is something else, people need certain body parts to live or they will die, but do these individuals care, of course not.

At the risk of saying too much we aren’t going to talk a lot about how this story goes or even ends for that matter, just know it is totally a science fiction movie and I don’t think doctors will be doing these procedures any time soon on the human race. It is one of those movies however that does intrigue the mind as to how they could come up with such ideas for the plot of the storyline.

Also, there are reviews and trailers via the Internet that can be viewed however remember these are only a few scenes out of the movie and clips of some of the better parts throughout the movie. To really get the insight of the movie you are just going to have to go to the theater and find out what its really like.

Planet 51 Review

Planet 51 Review

In a year when Pixar is promoting their newest artwork called “Up”, it is quite logical that other animated features will gain less publicity. It is absolutely impossible to compete with the world’s most creative studio at the moment, but that doesn’t mean you can’t try.

TriStar Pictures (Sony) is working very hard in order to promote their latest animated project called “Planet 51”, and the response is pretty good so far. There are few reasons for that:
The plot seems to be quite interesting, animation is like always best you can get (along with Disney’s and Pixar’s works) and the list of celebrities doing the voiceover is huge, literally. Tons of A-listers are involved.
Let’s start with the story: In the year 1969, on a holiday funnily titled “Space Mission Day”, NASA sends their pilot to do a research of a new, non explored planet. The astronaut finds the new planet, but fins out one of the biggest secrets – it is already inhabited. And even better, little aliens living there are happy and calm, until he came and ruined their nirvana. Now they are determined to keep their piece and he has only one mission – to go home.

This story is a great mixture of genres: Sci-Fi, Comedy, Adventure and Fantasy, and for a change, we are intruders, annoying nice peaceful settlers. Last but not least, the list of contributors from Hollywood is huge. “Planet 51” gathered Jessica Biel (future Mrs. Timberlake), Justin Long and Sean William Scott (funny guys in action), Dwayne Johnson a.k.a. The Rock, and two living legends Gary Oldman and John Cleese.
Use your kids as an excuse to go to the cinema and see this great, funny saga or organize an entertaining evening with your friends, goof around, enjoy and be careless just like when we were kids, believing in the magic of cartoons.

District 9 Review

District 9 Review

With the improvement in technology, more and more discoveries are being made. The place of great interest to science is the space beyond the earth. The space shuttles have made it possible to put into perspective the life beyond the planet earth. One begging question is that with all the evidence of many other greater planets, is there a chance that there are other creatures as intelligent as or more intelligent than man?

This is the driver of science fiction movies. Imagine for once that there are actually some aliens. Imagine that the aliens are able to fly into the earth’s stratosphere and land. How would they fly? What would they look like? Would they try to take over? Would our security systems ever be able to fight them back?

District 9 is a classic product of such imagination. Aliens land in the city of Johannesburg, South Africa. This city which is bustling with life has to play guest to these unique creatures. For 28 years they live in quarantine. But when people are not any more comfortable with their presence, Wikus Van De Merwe (Sharlto Copley), the government agent is assigned with this odious task of moving them to another camp. How will he communicate with them? What will he use to transport them? What of if they resist?

As Wikus ponders with these questions and makes every attempt to convince the aliens to evict and relocate, he encounters a life changing episode. He is sprayed with a substance hitherto unknown to the best of chemists of the planet earth. Wikus is changed by the substance and no longer thinks like ordinary men. He suddenly changes his tact and relationship with the aliens, as if he better understands them now.

What was changed in Mr. Wikus? What substance did he get in contact with?

District 9

District 9

The alien’s spaceship docks into the earth without much notice by humans. The spaceship and the unfamiliar passengers make a home in Johannesburg, South Africa. It takes a whole 20 years to discover what really is in it. Unfortunately for the passengers, their form escapes notice from the unaware hosts. They do not have adequate supplies and almost starve to death.

When men take notice of the ship wreck, they are amazed at the kind of creatures that they see in the ship. The creatures are in hundreds in number and look like insects. Though strange to the humans, the fact that the creatures are haggard and look hungry is a little too obvious. A quick decision need to be made, what we shall do with the ‘insects’? Whatever the decision, safety of humans must be considered as a matter of priority. The ‘insects’ have to be taken far off and fed from there. They also have to be closely observed. District 9 seems to be the best seclusion. It has a perfectly isolated and secure holding facility.

The aliens enjoy several days and months of hospitality. But like a proverb says, a guest is only for the first two days, after that he or she must bring return on investment. The aliens become a burden and a bother to the people and authorities of Johannesburg. To show the distaste that the aliens have attracted, they are nicknamed ‘prawns’. They are denied food and they turn to scavengers.

Wikus Van De Merwe, a dedicated government officer is therefore charged with the responsibility of removing the ‘prawns’ from District 9 to a more remote concentration camp. He is usual successful in negotiating with the aliens who are reluctant. The success however only lasts a while. When Wikus is sprayed with an unusual substance, he begins to experience a new life. He gets new insight to life of the aliens and he can no longer deliver on the job. So what is the transformation in Wikus? Is the entire town in danger?

Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex

Jonah Hex movieJonah Woodson Hex is an imaginary character a Western comic book antihero created by writer John Albano and artist Tony DeZuniga and published by DC Comics.

John Albano along with the artist Tony DeZuniga created the fictitious character called Jonah Hex, a protagonist who has been deservingly given an anti hero role for his external appearance and inward vindictive thinking. DC comics the publisher made sure that this character is regarded as the best and prominent antihero of a comic story that has ever hit the Western Lands. Now Warner Bros. Pictures have taken up the initiative to make this comic story into a Motion Picture retaining the plot of the original classic.

Josh Brolin is said to depict this character in the upcoming film that includes other stars like Megan Fox, Michael Shannon, John Malkovich and Will Arnett. Directed by Jimmy Hayward this film is expected to hit the screens in June 2010. It is expected to be a action-adventure film based on the western lands and you may not be surprised to see some sci-fi elements incorporated into it.

The depiction of the character is really terrific and horrifying. The face has a scar that is pretty much visible and to be exact it is found on his right side covering the cheeks and protruding till the ears. Talking about his past he was with the Confederacy working as an officer during the famous American civil war which took place at Gettysburg. His normal exterior looks get exemplified by the robes that he wears which is normally a ragged confederate states army overcoat. Hex is gruff and sarcastic, but bound by an own set of laws to defend and punish the guiltless and is in many ways comparable to Man with No Name of Clint Eastwood or even The Outlaw Josey Wales.
