This movie tells a story about a veteran of the Iraqi conflict, as he gets back home to his small town in West Texas and fights to deal with his experiences overseas. Now he is back with his wife and his family only to have vivid memories of the deadly hit on the vehicle in Iraq that hurt him enough to bring him home. He thinks about his buddies still in Iraq and wonders about the images that go through his mind.

James gets back into the routine of home life with his mother, and his wife. And yet, getting a new job at his father in laws slaughterhouse begins to bring up his past. His anxiety is almost too much for him to bear because the slaughterhouse causes great turmoil in his mind and he sees images of what he is trying to forget from when he was in Iraq. He simply wants to forget the past and move on with life, but he knows forgetting his past would take a miracle after being at war, being a soldier, and being in Iraq.

The director has shown his creativity in this movie and has depicted what happens in real life where couples get lost after getting into a relationship. The acting and the performance given by all the actors especially the lead actors is really fabulous. All the actors have added to the overall value of the movie and without the presence of these actors it would not have possible to make such a remarkable movie.

The director was so much impressed with the actors as he mentioned that the looks that the actors provided were so good and conveyed so much message that he had to cut off some of the dialogs from the script. He was so happy with the actors that he was immensely satisfied with the movie.
The story keeps going into flashback every now and then but do not get depressed and think that it is a movie not worth it. But as you keep watching it you would come to know that this kind of screenplay was really necessary. So, if you are thinking to watch this movie then I would highly recommend that you would be able to understand the subtleties of life and what love is all about.

This is a story of Peter, played by Jason Ritter and Vandy, played by Jess Weixler. This movie was said to be in no particular order and looks like that the director has attempted to play a jumbled up sequence of the event sin the starting, the middle and the ending. This trick does not work every time but in this particular case it does a little magic. But this non linear plot at times looks like to be a gimmick so that the film might look a little more interesting. But the director has successfully grasped the emotions and attention of the audience in a few scenes where we feel close to the characters and can empathize with their feelings. Such as in the scene where the characters are in an Indian restaurant and we can feel and sense the characters emotions because now we have traveled with them in their story and now feel close and related to them.

This movie is an honest display of the message that we all can mess up when we have to love and share ourselves. The director and the editor, Geoffrey Richman has done a good work in the cutting and pasting to capture our attention.
