Saturday at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France, Johnny Depp joined Penelope Cruz to talk up the premiere of his 3-D sequel ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,’ the fourth in the smash hit Disney series.

Depp, 47, said his Captain Jack character is back by popular demand, and he’s happy to oblige.

“If the people get tired of it or something, that’s when it stops, I think,” he told a press conference. “If people want it, I’m there.”

Returning to the ‘Pirates’ family to play Captain Jack’s father is Rolling Stones star Keith Richards.

Meanwhile, according to sources, the 37-year-old actress told the Cannes crowd she’s not fixated on youth: “I think birthdays are always something to celebrate,” she said. “I’m looking forward to every step of the way. Maybe because I’m from Spain, that’s looked at in a different way there than, for example, in a place like Los Angeles.”

‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ opens in the U.S. on May 20.

Lindsay LohanAccording to sources Lindsay Lohan entered a no contest plea on Wednesday for the misdemeanor theft charge for stealing a necklace from a California jewelry store earlier this year.
The actress was not present in court today, her attorney entered the plea for the 24 year old actress. Judge Sautner sentenced the actress to 120 days in jail. Additionally, she will be required to perform 480 hours of community service and must enroll in psychological counseling, which will be monitored by the probation department. The judge also ordered the actress to stay 100 feet away from the jewelry store located not far from where she lives. He also ordered that Lindsay Lohan complete a shoplifters alternative course.
She is also required to pay a victim restitution fine of one hundred dollars, a court security fine of forty dollars, a criminal conviction charge of thirty dollars, and a crime prevention fine that is imposed in theft cases of ten dollars. In addition, she will be required to surrender to begin serving her time behind bars on or before June 17th. If she is released early and placed under house arrest with an electronic monitoring device, she may not b allowed out to perform her community service. She told sources she is glad to put the past behind her and start over again. However, there are some individuals who wonder just how much jail time he will actually do, or if this is another slap on the wrist.

Lindsay LohanAccording to sources Lindsay Lohan’s attorney has entered a no contest plea on behalf of the actress in a case involving a stolen necklace. Lohan did not appear in court Wednesday’s hearing in Los Angeles. Superior court judge Sautner accepted the plea to disdemeanor grand theft that was entered by her lawyer.
The plea means the 24 year old is not acknowledging guilt but the case stands as a conviction. Lohan was charged in February with taking a $2500 necklace from a Venice jewelry store without paying for it. The incident happened roughly three weeks after she was released from court ordered rehab on a 2007 drunken driving case. Lindsay Lohan faces a 120 day jail sentence for violating her probation, but she will serve a fraction of the sentence due to jail overcrowding and may be placed on house arrest.
There are some people who are all but a bit upset about Lindsay Lohan’s behavior and the justice system. These individuals believe she has gotten out of more trouble than anyone else. It is as if she is getting a slap on the wrist and walking away to simply get into trouble again. It is a vicious cycle and the actress is literally losing some of her fans and young women who looked to her for inspiration. She has ultimately given herself a bad reputation now and some people feel if she were an ordinary person and not an actress she would not be getting this different attention.

Lindsay LohanAccording to sources Lindsay Lohan has released her fangs. The headline making actress stepped out over the weekend for the unveiling of a series of new portraits where she portrays a vampire in photographer Tyler Shields new exhibit, Life is not a fairytale.
She told sources you live one time and you only have a certain amount of time in your life, I want people to live life to the fullest. Lindsay Lohan told other sources she loves vampires and it is well documented that she is a vampire fan, and we need to do the craziest vampire mouth shot ever with her mouth.
The 24 year old actress appears in four different photographs taken a few months ago. In one photo Vampire Diaries actor Michael Trevino was seen biting Lindsay’s neck. The photographer said Lindsay’s latest fanged photos are just the beginning.. He told sources he has shot Lindsay Lohan at least twenty timesand nobody has seen any of it. It is the first little taste of it. The actress attended the exhibit opening with sister Ali and appeared to be in good spirits. Lindsay Lohan who is recently cast in Gotti Three Generations is due back in court on May 11th, for a pretrial hearing on her alleged stolen necklace case. On which subject she told sources she wished the charge would just go away.

Kristin Cavallari and boyfriend Jay Cutler have been dating for less than a year when the Chicago Bears quarterback popped the question in April – but the Laguna Beach alum says the proposal felt like it was a long time coming.

“I think we both knew from the moment we met that we wanted to marry each other,” the former Hills star, 24, tells our sources. “It’s been a great situation.”

And it doesn’t hurt that her family is a fan of Cutler, 27, who proposed during a romantic getaway to Mexico to the approval of Cavallari’s parents.

The actress, who has been portrayed as the typical blonde California beach babe on TV, is even planning to permanently trade her bikinis and flip-flops for snow boots once she and Cutler tie the knot.

“I will relocate to Chicago,” she says. “I want us to be together. I don’t want to be one of those married couples where one person is on the West Coast, and the other is somewhere else. I do want some normalcy in my life. I want to be a wife.”

As for raising a family? It’s in the cards.

“We definitely want kids,” the shoe designer says. “As far as right away, probably not. But definitely in the next few years.” Wedding bells is just around the corner as we speak.

Julia RobertsAccording to sources as a mother of three and wife to Danny Moder along with acting and now producing, Julia Roberts is extremely busy, but the actress prides herself on not experiencing mother guilt.
Julia told sources that she does everything she can and has no guilt at all. The 43 year old star, who is mom to three is a true mom at heart. She told sources that she has scaled back the amount of work she now takes on. She felt she earned the right to stay home and be home and get super selective about what she wanted to do work wise.
Part of staying home includes cooking for her family, but the actress revealed that she has a few conditions if she is the one making the meal. In addition she has steadfast rules when she runs a kitchen, not a diner. So just to make one meal, and this morning there was a little variation on that theme. She did a couple of requests although she believes in her kids eating healthy. The stars latest project, the Oprah Winfrey Network documentary Extraordinary Moms, which features a group of ladies that are all mothers. Those who have been inspirations and it might just be the start of more work with the daytime media queen.
Julia told sources that she is going to promote her new film Larry Crowe with Tom Hanks , where she gave Oprah a little nudge about possibly doing more projects together.

Nicole ScherzingerThere have been reports that Simon Cowell has not yet revealed the identities of all the judges on the X Factor, but a source tells people that Nicole will be the show’s host. Formerly of girl group the Pussy cat Dolls, the singer actress, 32, appeared on the U.K version of the X Factor as a guest judge in July. At the time, fellow judge Louis Walsh praised her stint on the show saying this girl has the X Factor in every way. She was incredibly impressive and ticked every box.
In addition, the show’s U.K host, claimed she was hilarious to work with. when discussing Scherzinger during a chat with another person Cowell said he absolutely adores her. She is gorgeous and ruthlessly ambitiou. It is still undecided whether she, who will release her solo album Killer love later this year. Will have a co host but Simon Cowell has said he thinks the show could benefit from two hosts. In March, Simon Cowell announced that L.A Reid as a judge on X Factor. Cowell himself will also be a judge. And when it comes to filling the other two judges’ seats, Simon Cowell told sources that Paula Abdul and Cheryl Cole are in the running.
In the meantime, thousands of hopefuls continue to come out for X Factor auditions across the country. Next, the show heads to Dallas in search for talented singers. Simon Cowell has yet to fill the two judge’s seats although he is certain that it won’t take extremely long, nor will it be all that difficult to do, as he knows who and what he is looking for in a judge.

Lindsay LohanA source close to Lindsay Lohan says the actress wants to end a misdemeanor theft case filed after a jewelry store reported the actress took a necklace without permission. The source, who is familiar with the case but was not authorized to speak publicly about it, says Lohan is prepared to enter a no contest plea. No contest pleads are not an admission of guilt but in many courts have the same effect as if it were a guilty plea.
Prosecutors in February charged Lindsay Lohan with felony grand theft of the $2500 necklace, but a judge last week reduced the charge to a misdemeanor. No court date has been set for Lindsay Lohan to enter the plea. She is due back in court May 11th,k 2011. For a pretrial hearing.
Lindsay Lohan has been in the media for months now over a lot of different incidents and yet she hasn’t seen a lot of jail time. She gets away with a lot according to her fans. Although they stand behind her some of them believe she is receiving nothing more than a slap on the wrist and this is why her behavior has stayed the same.
She was ordered into rehab and also got into an altercation with one of the technicians there as well. She is becoming one of those actresses that are not considered a good role model for upcoming and rising actresses who once thought of her as one.

David and Amy Sumner, a Hollywood screenwriter and his actress wife, return to her small hometown in the deep south to prepare the family home for sale after her father’s death. Once there, tensions build in their marriage and old conflicts re emerge with the locals, including Amy’s ex boyfriend Charlie leading to a violent confrontation.

Lindsay LohanAccording to sources fresh off of her court hearing on Friday, Lindsay Lohan is already back in front of the cameras. The actress, who was sentenced of Friday to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service for a probation violation, paid a visit to the set of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. According to sources Lindsay taped the interview with Jay, which will air on the NBC late night program on Tuesday night. No other details of her appearance were immediately available on Monday afternoon.
However, Lindsay does appear to have a connection to the show, her attorney, is married to the lead vocalist for the show’s house band, led by Rickey Minor.
As previously reported Lindsay Lohan spent most of the day on Friday in court for a preliminary hearing in her felony grand theft case, which a Los Angeles area jewelry store claimed the actress stole a necklace worth $2500.00. During the hearing the judge sentenced the actress after viewing the surveillance video from the store the day Lindsay allegedly took the necklace ruling it constituted a violation of her probation.
Lindsay Lohan spent five hour in custody before being posted out on bail and being released under the terms of a work release program. She was expected to begin her community service on Monday at a women’s shelter. In addition, Lohan will also be spending part of her community service working at the LA county morgue.
