When in Rome

When in Rome MovieThe cupid goddess of love, Rome appears to be sprinkling her charms to the young Kristen Bell. After some years of experiencing New York’s bustle and hype, she finds it a little boring. The city no longer seems to offer her the space to explore her ambitions. She has to find something more thrilling.

But something more deep seated in her heart seems to be the main cause for this disillusionment with New York. A deep desire to be romantically fulfilled is begging from the inside. Kristen feels that her love tank is empty and must be filled fast. She takes whirlwind trip to Rome. She firmly believes that her true love is in this city of the cupid gods.

In Rime, Kristen first seeks the assistance of the magic coins from a ‘foolish’ fountain of love. These are supposed to make her more attractive. It is the center of the comedy in the movie. It is so foolish yet so real, just what you expect in every passionate woman’s heart.

The spell works and soon, she is trailed by a number of funny admirers who all want to marry her fast. First comes Danny DeVito, who is known all over the city for his sausages. He sweeps Kristen off her feet. She has never been through such romance, it can only happen in Rome. But is nothing compared to the magic of street magician, Mr. Jon Heder. Every moment with Jon is pure magic for Kristen who is literary carried off by his romance.

Next is Will Arnet, an accomplished painter. Kristen cannot help but adore his paintings, some of which are herself beautifully recreated in a picture. Then comes the Mr. handsome, Dax Shepard. He is well formed in stature. All that Kristen has ever wished of a man is in Shepard.

By the time Josh Duhamel, the reporter, appears, Kristen is not sure of who she wants. She may have to seek the services of the god of romance in Rome to know if Josh is now the ultimate dream man she has been fantasizing about. Will she ever get to fall in love?

After watching the trailer, I”m pleased…it looks like a promising romantic flick. These types of movies warm my heart :) . However the trailer I watched was unussualy long – which can only be a good thing. :)
