Waiting For Superman

The Waiting For Superman movie will be released in September of 2010. It is being released by Paramount Vantage. It is a documentary type movie. It is rated PG for mild language. For a nation that proudly declared it would leave no child behind, America continues to do so at alarming rates. Despite increased spending and political promises, our buckling public education system, once the best is the world, always seems to routinely forsake the education of millions of children. This documentary will remind you that education is about children and they are not statistics these so called statistics have names. There are a few in particular that are followed which make up this documentary and how they are in the education system and in Waiting For Superman.

It follows a few promising students through what inhibits rather than encourages academic growth. It undertakes an exhaustive review of public education and the drop out sinkholes. However, embracing the belief that good teachers make good schools. It offers hope by exploring innovative approaches taken by education reformers and charter schools that have in reshaping the culture.
