The Warlords

The Warlords (original title “Tau Ming Chong”) is the latest movie by Thailand born director Peter Ho-Sun Chan. This talented artist from Bangkok has already filmed more than 10 movies with excellent success both in his country, and abroad.

Magnet Releasing in association with Magnolia pictures will distribute this movie in the USA in 2010, although it was already shown in Europe and Asia a year and a half ago.

The leading role is given to Chinese actor Jet Li, who became very popular in America, starring in various movies such as: “Lethal Weapon IV”, “Romeo Must Die”, “Kiss of the Dragon”, “The One” and “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor”.

Production studios behind this feature describe “The Warlords” as a mixture of war story, action adventure and drama, and are pretty certain that audience will love to see a dynamic war story told with a unique Asian touch, narration and aesthetics.

The plot is set in a Taiping Rebellion, during the 1860’s. General Pang witnessed the massacre of his squad, and survived by playing dead in the battle field. (General Pang is portrayed by Jet Li). After that tragic fight, general decides to join the group of bandits led by Er Hu (Andi Lau) and Wen Xiang (Takeshi Kaneshiro).

Three of them, after one fight, decide to become blood brothers, promising to each other that they will be loyal and honest till death. Unfortunately, faith had other plans for them. They become a part of a political set up, and a bitter love triangle, treating to tear them apart forever.

Don’t miss this must see story of trust, love, justice and faith, which will make you laugh and cry at the same time, cheering for our heroes, and getting to see the bigger picture and the fact that sometimes we can’t help but just follow our destiny. Don’t miss this war saga, in 2010.
