‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ is an innovative fantasy comedy flick directed by Jon Turteltaub and exclusively written by Larry Konner, Matt Lopez, Carlo Bernard, Mark Rosenthal and Doug Miro. The film is produced under the banner ‘Walt Disney Studios’. It’s main star cast is Jay Baruchel, Nicolas Cage, Alfred Molina, Monica Bellucci, Teresa Palmer and Toby Kebbell. ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ is an epic adventurous and a romantic comedy flick that revolves around a sorcerer, his unfortunate apprentice and his workshop which turn out to be battle ground for him and his worker. The sorcerer happens to leave his workshop and hands over its responsibility to his noble apprentice while, he is away. However, while the worker is doing his daily chores, he is hired for, using a normal broom, he is swept into trouble when he realizes the broom has somehow developed its own mind.
The film sees Balthazar Blake, played by Nicolas Cage, who is an ace magician in Manhattan, aims at defending his beloved city form his troublesome and ruthless foe Maxim Horvath. However, for this purpose he hires Dave Stutler as his unwilling a lazy helper. Dave Stutler, played by Jay Baruchel, is an average but reluctant guy who continuously displays his hidden talent and potential. The wizard decides to teach his reluctant apprentice a short term course on techniques and science of flying objects and magic. They both team up to put their extreme knowledge of magic into action, only to save the city and terminate the dangerous effects of darkness and evil. With full knowledge about magic offered by his master and an ace magician, Dave must put his training to use to save his city and win over his girl, only to be tagged as ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’.
