Conor McPherson, who is acclaimed for hurt rending horror movies, presents another romantic thriller interspersed with horror. The movie ‘The Eclipse’ is set to be released soon and is expected to be a show stopper.

In the movie, a widower who lives in a ghostly sea town in Ireland claims that he is visited by ghouls. It is suspect that the ghost could be that of his wife. This leaves a number of questions as to what led to her death. Could it be that the widower played by Hinds could have had any role in her death?
To keep off the haunting, Hinds volunteers his services at a literary festival event being held in his local town. This is an annual event that attracts the best of the literature or writing world. In this year, the event hosts a writer who is renowned for writing horror novels. As if fate were to send him a permanent solution to his problem, Hinds falls for the attractive novelists and quickly realizes that he is in love. There is just so much that the two share in common. The widower is once again at peace with himself and begins to dream dreams.

The dreams are however short lived when an American writer played by Quinn emerges and is not shy to show that he likes horror writer (Iben Hjejle). Will the widower be widowed psychologically once more? Would fate be that cruel to him?
