“The Blind Side” is an assembly of the best of Hollywood. The movie is an example of what opportunity presented to a focused and determined can result in. It is inspired by the true story of All-American football star Michael Oher who rises from grass to grace.
The movie has some of the most talented artists in the movie industry including Oscar®-winner Kathy Bates who played a lead role in the movie “Misery” and “Revolutionary Road.” Also featuring in the “The Blind Side” is Sandar Bullock who featured in “The Proposal” and Tim McGraw who starred in “Friday Night Lights”. This is one the best productions of John Lee Hancock from the Alcon Entertainment and Warner Bros studios.
In the movie, the destitute and homeless African-American named Oher (played by Quinton Aaron) is an example of a rejection of Mother Nature. Nothing seems to work in his favor. He has no family after the break-up of his home. Hope comes knocking at Oher’s door after meeting the affluent and kind white family of Touhys. He comes to life and now realizes that his football dreams are closer to reality. The Touhy’s provide all that Oher needs and in return, they discover the hidden things in their own lives.
It is not all smooth for the budding Oher as he confronts challenges in uncharted waters. How is he to balance between school which is considered by the magic wand to success and a football career? The pressure of the sizzling fame of being an American football star is too much and Oher bows to it. Fortunately, his new found family and the ever patient coaches provide the necessary support to make a prized All-American left tackle offensive player.
Truly all we need in life is just a little jerk. This is a must watch!
