Everyone plans for the ideal love chart. Meet Mr. handsome, have great dinners, get married at the attorneys, make love in the kitchen and make babies. This was not to be the case for Zoe, played by Jennifer Lopez. The meeting with the charming dream man takes eternity. She is beautiful with nice hair, she is also sharp upstairs and that eyes and legs would make any man follow her all the way to her apartment. Zoe does not just seem to meet the right man.
Tired of waiting, and realizing that her biological clock is quickly ticking away, she decides that she can after all fulfill her maternal instincts. Zoe sets an appointment with the doctor; she is examined and declared fit for artificial insemination. At east she can choose the father of her baby, or is it the owner of the sperm!
When it all seems to have come to a logical conclusion, fate takes over and ignites a spate of romance with lots of comedy. There appears Stan, played by Alex O’Loughlin. He is the dream man that Zoe has always been waiting for. But Zoe is afraid of another disappointment. She knows hat she is already pregnant and is not sure of how Stan would take that. She has to bring him close enough to fall in love, yet far enough to conceal the pregnancy. She often has to make funny excuses just when Stan thinks he is in for a party. However, time will not allow these hilarious undertakings any more fun.
When Zoe finally declares that she is pregnant and the circumstances under which she got pregnant, her fears are cast away when Stan commits himself. He is ready to take care of both the mother and the child. As if to try and get closer to the child, he gets more and more intrusive to the baby’s space through nights and days of sex orgies. Not even seven months into pregnancy can stop their romance.
With days to count before the baby is born, reality then unveils itself. The two realize that they, after all, are not in love. Will they stay on?
