The director known as Chris Columbus presents a solid film titled Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief. The cast and crew lineup is quite impressive with actors and actresses such as Pierce Brosnan, Uma Thurman, Rosari Dawson, and Steve Coogan. This a fun filled adventure and fantasy film, a story of Poseidon’s son who is a 12 year old boy that is determined to rescue his mother. He also has to return Zeus’s missing lightning bolt and prevent a civil war from happening from the gods.
This movie is based on the famous novel from Rick Riordan. Columbus seems to notice a bit of different cues from his time on previous movies. The Greek methodology is at best, the god will show you how the Lightning thief came about. The Olympic trials are stunning efforts of the gods to combat each other for the rights of glory. In an effort to rescue his mother and shows his encounters along the way. This is Rick Riordan best selling book series and it is a good one. It explains how the actual son of Poseidon travels the earth with the desires and hopes of a mighty quelling battle of gods. This is a children’s dream and the plot is excellent to go with it. The battle involved which the son of Poseidon battles is very interesting. This gives the Greek mythology a lot of hope to young audiences who watch this film.
The lightning thief is the key to remember as it offers a little insight to the movie. This is a flick; you should definitely go see whether you are very young or very old. Don’t be fooled for the story will always have a twist that you will not expect, that is why these series are so great and intense.
