Reel Review: The movie Legion basically connects with other dark biblical movie styles. In this movie the god of Legion gets tired of mankind once again only instead of flooding the earth this time he sends an army of angels. And the leader of the angels is supposed to be Michael. It was rated R and only received two out of five stars. Some would’ve thought it would have done better.
What’s Inside: Fortunately for us Michael doesn’t comply with what he is told and still has some compassion for the weird species of mankind. Michael then leaves his post and heads to earth, where inside the belly of an unwed mother to be sits humanity’s only hope for survival. This movie was to say the lease somewhat confusing. It was almost as if they were mocking the biblical part of life and turn it into a movie that really had no plot in the first place. It is too comparative to different things that are spiritual and not many individuals agreed with it, although there were enough for it to get two stars at least. Michael refuses to let the humans down so he goes against the Legion in the open space of a diner, with as many assault weapons he can come up with.
Wrapping it up: If you think about it, under all of the mumbo jumbo of the superficial spiritual façade its just another zombie thriller movie. One that really didn’t make sense in the first place. If they had placed this in with the horror movies or thrillers too it still wouldn’t make a lot of difference. Legion was a movie that was in the theaters, ran its time, and then a new release came out after it. It didn’t top out on my charts. What do you think?
