A Prophet

A Prophet MovieHis only school is the prison. His best friends are the prisoners. His most memorable moments are in the prison. He is the son of prison. This is the lead character in this crime and drama movie.

His background does not seem to help. Born in North Africa, to a world that cares less, the young man grows up believing that the entire world hates him. This violent, crime ridden, sex and nude filled movie that are the signature creation of Jacques Audiard is a reminder how we often design and manufacture criminals.

His life begins when he meets the Corsican Mafia with the aid of his always present prison. The French prison that was meant to rehab the young Arab man, instead hardens his stance. The Mafia find the just the right heart to plant the worst evil seed.

His meeting with the Imam who is charged with the responsibility of reforming his morals only serves as a staircase to more crime. The Imam and the Mafia connection places him at the most important decision making seat of the Mafia in France and the world over.

All his plans belong to the animal kingdom. There is no human touch in the execution of the plans. Either you follow queue or die. He has no mercy, as if avenging back to the world for the equally merciless treatment. All that he cares for is that his masters are happy. He does not care about the prisons. That is home to him.

This crime and drama series will make you stop everything else just to be sure that you do not miss any minute of it. It is full of suspense a true thriller. You are left strongly connected to the young Arab man. Remember, it is just a movie!
