Whip It Review

Whip It Review‘Whip It’ is the first movie of its director Drew Barrymore. Ellen Page plays Bliss in the movie. This is a story about a small Texas teenager who throws her beauty pageant of a town so as to follow her dream of roller derby world. The disapproving mother of Bliss is played by Marcia Gay Harden. The roller derby stars are played by Kristen Wiig and Juliette Lewis. Other stars in the movie are Jimmy Fallon and Eve.

‘Whip It’ serves as a movie that can speak to the audiences of all ages. The movie is all about the way you do things and not about what you do. ‘Whip It ‘ is backed by a savvy script and also the performances of the actors is remarkable. The movie brings a feeling of real people bringing real lives to the minds of the audiences. These features of the movie will make the movie memorable in the minds of the audiences. ‘Whip It ‘ is all set in a small town of Texas. But this movie has shown to the world that small town can also seem equally stifling. The blunt and straightforward answers of Bliss during her beauty Pageant contest are particularly loved by the audiences. To Bliss, the idea to join the roller derby world instead of the charming world of beauty pageants appeals more. The movie is particularly remarkable about the kind of devotion shown by actors to the characters played.

The direction of the movie is also superb and even the slightest of details about the movie have been dealt with perfection. The character of Bliss and her struggle to chase her dreams with both inside and outside her family members is particularly interesting to watch and this keeps the audience stick to their sets. The story line of the movie is also exciting and even inspiring for some.

Under normal circumstances I would have thought that Ellen Page has a really annoying way about her, but she actually did a great job in this movie; all around Whip It rocked.
