Reel Review: The Yellow Hand kerchief movie was released on February 26th for most theaters and it was rated PG-13. It is a drama with an all star cast and has proven so far to be a good movie hitting the theaters.
What’s Inside: This is a love story at its core. And it is about three strangers of two generations who embark on a road trip through post Katrina Louisiana. Along the way, relationships forge and change in a myriad of ways, leading to the possibility of second chances at life and love.
One character dealing with a painful past, crosses paths with another character who is a troubled teenager, and her new ride. The trio head out together, each motivated by his or her own reasons. Brett must decide whether he wants to return to the uncertainty of his life, and his ex-wife for whom he longs, and the other yearns to escape her family and Gordy hopes to get close to her. If all goes as planned they will soon be far enough away that the three of them could start over again in a brand new place, however would the past follow them and how long would it take to catch up to them?
Wrapping It Up: Even though the three of them are together they all seem to have an individual agenda, and this keeps them from losing their minds. Should they go with their gut feeling or do whatever the world thinks is appropriate for them? In this review of the movie it could actually go two ways, leave and keep driving until they’ve driven as far as they can or simply turn around from whence they came and confront those things which are attempting to drive them away completely.
