This movie is a romantic dramatic unique American film of the post- WWII era. The setting takes place in the hometown of Memphis. The main character is man by the name of Fisher Willow who is the actor known as Bryce Dallas Howard. The pressure of being proper in Southern society presents a challenge for a young girl who is regarded as stubborn in her ways as well as being headstrong. She seeks out her once in a lifetime shot at true love but her dreams are destroyed after a priceless diamond goes missing.
Fisher is the daughter of a rich man by the name of a Memphis plantation owner. She has trouble understanding the narrow minded elite women who seem to worship her own father. Then girl known as Fisher Willow rebels with a boy named Jimmy Dobyne which is actor Chris Evans. Jimmy works on her father’s plantation. His family background is a rather rough one, the father is an alcoholic and his mother has mental issues. Fisher likes his company and decides to hire him as her escort so that he can accompany her to the lavish parties. Jimmy tries his best to fit in as an upper class suitor, the relationship social events of the season.
The relationship is strictly business until Fisher starts to fall for Jimmy. Before she knows it she realizes she can’t earn the affection she tried to buy. She has an auntie named Cornelia, who has been placed in charge of the entire family fortune when the diamond vanishes, the accusations begin to stir. This could ultimately destroy their happy future together. This is a movie which offers a solid plot line with challenges in historical moments among its actors.
