Reel review: The Karate Kid movie was released in June 2010.it was released by Columbia pictures. It is starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. It is a remake of the original Karate Kid done in the 80’s.
What’s Inside: Once popular until moving from Detroit however his mom’s last career which moved them to China. The boy instantly falls for a girl in his class and the feeling is mutual however there are a few boys in the class who don’t think its such a good idea. Dre, the boy has no where to turn except to his maintenance man who also knows karate.
Wrapping It Up: The truth of the matter is, it is pretty much like the original and many people think so. It was released in June and is in theaters now. There are those who like the movie and would go and see it again. This movie is rated PG. However, Han teaches Dre that Kung fu is not about punches and parries but maturity and calm. Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.
