The Stolen Review is rated R and it is considered a drama, mystery and thriller. It is about the disappearance of a detective’s ten year old son and his obsession to find him.
When an early morning phone call leads him to the mangled remains of a boy who was brutally murdered fifty years ago, Adkins takes on the case in hopes of finding absolution.
His investigation leads him to a man who lived in 1958 named Matthew Wakefield and his innocent son, John. The completely striking similarities in the cases pushes Adkins’ obsession over the top.
Barely holding onto his own sanity and bound by redemption he refuses to stop looking for his own son. In the end of the movie the detective unravels the awful truth about what really happened to his own ten year old son.
