What’s Inside: Salt of the Sea movie is a feature set in Palestine by the first time director Jacir. The story centers on Soraya a Brooklyn born woman of Palestinian background. Who comes to Israel in seach for the ancestral home near Jaffa from where her grandparents were ejected sixty years before her return.
Wrapping It Up: Once she arrives, reality strikes very hard and her quest to claim what is hers and fulfill her drean to return to Palestine is conquered by obstructions at every turn. Shot in English and Arabic, the film was essentially by Danny Glover.
