Mother Review

Reel Review: Mother movie is about a single mom with a 27 year old son that still lives at home due to medical issues. He is a bit slower than most men his age so his mother takes care of him and makes sure no harm comes to him. It was released in March and went over well at theaters. It is a thriller.

What’s Inside: Though an adult in years her son medically is naïve to many things and is dependent on his mother. And a constant source of anxiety, often behaving in ways that are foolish or simply dangerous. Walking home alone one night down a nearly empty city street, he encounters a young girl who he follows for a while before she disappears into a dark alley. The next morning, she is found dead in an abandoned building and the young man is accused of her murder. Thanks to an inefficient lawyer and a apathetic police force his case is quickly closed, but his mother refuses to let this be the end of the story. The police believe that the young man is guilty because they want to close the case quickly and also know that the young man is slow minded, however there are a few that know he didn’t commit the crime.

Wrapping It Up: While the mother no longer trusts anyone her maternal instincts kick into overdrive and she sets out to find the girl’s killer and to prove that her son is innocent of the crime they say he committed. To the mother the young man didn’t know anything about what happened to the girl, and sadly that was the truth. He was simply being accused of the crime because of his illness and who he was. This was a good movie and if you like thrillers this would be a good movie to go to the theater and see.
