Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules Movie Review

Diary Of A Wimpy KidReel Review: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules is a 2011 American comedy film based on the book of the same name. Zachary Gordon, Robert Capron, Devon Bostick, Rachael Harris, Steve Zahn, Connor and Owen Fielding, Karan Brar, Laine MacNeil, and Grayson Russell all are reprising their roles from the first film. This marks the second film to feature Capron and List following 2010′s The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. It is the sequel to 2010′s Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The film was released last March 25, 2011.

What’s Inside: “Rodrick Rules,” which would be based on the second book,” is about Greg, his older brother Rodrick, and the school talent show. Based on the best-selling illustrated novel by Jeff Kinney, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” chronicles the adventures of wise-cracking middle school student Greg Heffley, who must somehow survive the scariest time of anyone’s life: middle school.

Wrapping It Up: “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules” is strictly for the fourth to eighth grade children. Younger kids might or might not get it still, while teenagers in high school will have little interest in the problems of a middle schooler. This movie is perfectly adequate entertainment for kids since, in the end, it has all the right lessons about family loyalty and looking out for each other. However, if you wanted to spend your money on a more mature age appropriate film, better skip this and seek out something more entertaining at the movies.
