The movie is about two brothers and among them the elder is a marine who gets missing in the sea. Then the younger brother who is a scoundrel starts to take care of the elder brother’s wife and children. This had some consequences that shake the whole family.
The movie tells the influential story of two brothers among them one is named Captain Sam and the role is played by Tobey Maguire. The younger brother is Tommy Cahill, played by Jake Gyllenhaal. They may be brothers but there is nothing familiar among them. Sam is a very polite and steadfast character who is married to his high school love Grace and the role is played by Natalie Portman. They are proud parents of two daughters who are very young. Bailee Madison and Taylor Grace Geare play the role of the two daughters. Sam is about to sail for the ocean for his duty. Tom on the other hand is just back from jail and has some charm and has the power to take the lead. He takes the leadership of the family just after the first night out from jail and the farewell night of Sam.
Sam was thought to be dead after his plane got shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan. With this news the family of Sam faces a bog shock living in suburb. Tom attempts to feel the void created by his brother’s death news and the assumed responsibility to take care of his brother’s family.
Sam did not die but was captured by the Taliban soldiers. Sam thinks of his family and the position of Tom grew stronger. Something grew between Grace and Tom which they both were very ashamed and frightened of.
The movie will be released on the 4 December this year. Jim Sheridan produced the movie while David Benioff writes the script. The movie features stars like Natalie Portman, Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal and Sam Shepard.
