Funny how unfortunate circumstances can propel one to heroism that is the envy of others! This is the adventure of Power, a junior mine worker from the little known small copper town.
A crumbling economy, food on a table is no longer an obvious occurrence; it is all hopeless for the young Power. Not even his name ‘POWER’ can give hope except playing drums. This is the coveted pass time for most people in the town. This holds a real hope of quickly becoming a celebrity to master Power, yet without the skills of playing drums, it remains just that, hopes!
He pleads with his father (McKean) to send him to a school of playing drums. He spends much time rationalizing with the father on why he must learn how to play drums. But it is clear that the father is equally hard hit by the hard times and cannot afford any additional expense. Quick at identifying alternatives, Power resigns his fate to air drumming.
Power is addicted to air drumming and it soon becomes evident to most people in the town that Power has gone nuts over air drumming. He is ridiculed by all and sundry, especially by the mine workers who work with the father. When he cannot take it anymore, Power takes hold of his only possessions – a few dollars, some cereals and support from Auntie Joanie, he sets for the ‘paradise’ of Newark.
Fate rolls up her sleeves send Power to the underground air drumming crew. But this is the beginning of the roll-a-coaster comedy. Power finally meets the powerful multi-millionaire drummer Dallas H. They are faced with fierce opposition. Power and his crews have to fight through a series of crazy events to keep in the race. The laughter begins here! Watch out for the rib crackling movie.
