Brought out by Columbia Pictures this new installment has basically been on the low key as to what the plot is going to be or who the other cast members will essentially be. It will once again be produced by Will Smith with Overbrook Entertainment being partners too. In addition, there was a bit of controversy over the first Karate Kid starring Jackie Chan due to the fact that it was a remake of the Karate Kid brought out in the 80’s.
