The Wildest Dream: Conquest Of Everest documentary will be released in August of 2010. It is being released by National Geographic entertainment. The director is hoping that it goes over well in theaters. It is starring Liam Neeson and other cast members. The rating isn’t available for this one.

The Wildest Dream: Conquest Of Everest documentary is based on the breathtaking mountaineering adventure that tries to give answers to the never ending mystery of the death of George Mallory on Mount Everest. That big question, did he reach the summit before he and other climbers with him died in 1924? In 1999 the American mountaineer Conrad Anker made a discovery that was known around the world, up in Mount Everest’s death area he found the unbelievably preserved body of George Mallory almost 75 years after the explorer mysteriously disappeared during his attempt to become the first man to summit the world’s highest peak.

During his quest for answers, Anker returned to Everest in 2007 duplicating as close as he could the path that Mallory took to see if he could find out what happened to the explorer and his fate on the mountain. He and some other climbers did everything possible to attempt to retrace the climbers steps. Trying to climb a part of the mountain that Mallory tried to climb 83 years before that.

This is more than just a documentary on mountain climbing. It tells a passionate story of a man who had two loves. A woman and the mountain that took his life. Told through some letters to his wife Ruth, the film is a combination of scenes unknown to anyone and photos revealed in the present day exploration of the mountain.
