The Vatican Disapproves Of The Movie Avatar

The leaders in the catholic churches are disapproving of the movie Avatar claiming that it promotes the worship of nature. However, it doesn’t seem so to those people who have seen it. It is a futuristic and special effects really phenomenal movie to watch. In the people’s opinion isn’t his or her right to determine if it is worshipping nature anyway? And because of the disapproval of the movie there were some statements made and words at the screening in which the Vatican gave the film thumbs down instead of thumbs up.

And yet, with the box office sales and the possibility of a sequel for the movie this is what the producers and directors are taking into consideration. Individuals can watch the trailers or read the reviews and decide whether or not they want to go see the movie Avatar. If they choose to go see it then that is our right. Movies are all rated now so this shouldn’t worry the Vatican or those who feel its not appropriate for people to see.

Getting dragged down by criticism and spiritualism isn’t what the producers had in mind. No one knows how the movie is unless they go see it. And, as stated its up to them. Controversy is good for a new movie really because it emphasizes the impact the movie has at the box offices. There are those individuals who though the movie was unique and the special effects were even better like the producers actually outdid themselves this time. In the long term look at things people are going to have to make up their own minds and with the rating only a certain amount of people see it anyway. The Vatican shouldn’t worry about an innocent futuristic movie such as this when there are so many others that actually promote violence.
