The movie Salt of This Sea is going to be released in August of 2010. It is being released by Lorber Films. It is starring Suheir Hammad. It is a drama, and a romance. The rating for this movie isn’t available yet. The director is hoping it will go over well in theaters.
Salt of This Sea is based on the story of a Brooklyn born woman of Palestinian lineage who comes to Israel to search for her ancestral home near Jaffa from where her grandparents were ejected sixty years ago. Once she gets there, reality hits hard and her task to claim what is hers and fulfill her dream to return to Palestine is obstructed at every single turn. This movie was shot in English and in Arabic, it was produced by Danny Glover.

It is going to be a controversial movie and yet one that will be phenomenal in the aspect of the woman trying to get what is rightfully hers. She travels all that way and she is hell bent on not leaving until everything is set right. Despite all of the obstacles that might stand in her way. Her determination is the fuel that keeps her going and she knows what is right and what is wrong. She only wants what is rightfully hers and belongs to her family lineage.
