The Dark Tower Will Be Movie Trilogy

It was announced recently that Universal Pictures and NBC have acquired rights to the short stories and epic novels by Stephen King. The Dark Tower will be in the concept of three films and even a television series. Ron Howard will direct the fist movie and the first season of television, which will also produce the movie through Imagine Entertainment. They have been waiting for the right team to come together and produce and direct the characters and bring them to life.

The Dark Tower is a movie based on the best selling books from Stephen King. More than thirty thousand books from the Dark Tower have been sold to date. The novels incorporate themes from multiple genres including fantasy, sci fi, horror, and adventure. After the series was completed a prequel of comic books based on one of the characters was also published. This will definitely be a wonderful movie when it is completed. The release date for this movie hasn’t been announced yet, and the team working on the movie has just been chosen. So, they have a lot of preparation to do before the casting of members and also the beginning of production is concerned. Building a franchise home for the Dark Tower is an exciting opportunity for the studio and they are thrilled that Stephen has entrusted them to bring the novels to the big screen.
