The Tales From Earthsea movie will be released in August 2010. It is being released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is starring Timothy Dalton along with an awesome list of cast members. It is rated Pg-13.
From famed Japanese animators the movie Tales From The Earthsea is an adventure set in a mythical world filled with magic and bewitchment. An epic tale of redemption and self discovery, the story follows the journey of Lord Archmage Sparrowhawk. The master wizard, as he searches for the force behind a mysterious disturbance that has caused an imbalance in the land of Earthsea.
Suddenly crops and livestock are dwindling, dragons have reappeared and humanity is giving way to chaos. Along the way he resuces Arren a troubled young prince who has fled his home and is being pursued by an enigmatic shadow. He joins sparrow hawk on his quest and moving closer to the intertwined destinies both cross paths with a former priestess.
This is one of those movies that will keep you on the edge of your seat in suspense, wondering what will happen next. Its mystical and mythical style is a wonderful balance to the big screen. By using their magical powers the characters do come out on top however do they defeat what they need to in order to survive this earthsea tale? This is going to be a phenomenal movie for those who love dragons.
