Say Goodbye To Ugly Betty

ugly betty 225x300 Say Goodbye To Ugly BettyABC has decided to cancel the television show Ugly Betty. It actually made its prime time in 2006 however with many other television shows similar to this one had to go. Not to mention the fact that the ratings dropped off drastically.

From the weird glasses to braces on her teeth, she was the American geek in many classes. In fact, at the beginning there were girls and boys that could relate to her and what she was going through. Now however Ugly Betty is also growing up and that can’t be stopped. Her show used to air right before Grey’s Anatomy and then even that changed. The show has been confirmed to be canceled on Tuesday of this week. America Ferrera believes she is going to miss doing the show as she played the girl with the unsightly looks and personality. And yet she won an award for being on the show too.

Another reason why the show started to do badly was because all of the prime time slots were being filled leaving Ugly Betty nothing but very late slots and children don’t stay up that late. Or they shouldn’t just to watch a television show.

So ABC is cancelling the show and saying goodbye to Ugly Betty a show that ran for almost a decade and that’s saying a lot for a children’s show. Children grow up and his or her preferences change. But Betty was the type of girl who tried to change with them. For more information, America Ferrera has a web site designed for those kids that still want to keep in touch with Ugly Betty. And, it tells a lot about her favorite colors, songs, clothes, and other things. Just make sure you have permission to go on the Internet when you are looking up her web site.

Since 2006 is almost a decade? I’m counting 4 years.
