Rise of the Apes is set to be released on June 24, 2011 by 20th Century Fox. It will be directed by Rupert Wyatt and the screenwriters are Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa. We do not know who will starring in this film and this film is not yet rated. This film is part of the action, adventure, and sci-fi genre though. We do not know much about this movie as of yet.
20th Century Fox is taking on a completely new kind of movie when it comes to “Rise of the Apes.” 20th Century Fox has a very successful and loved franchise so hopefully this movie will be just as successful. Weta Digital is an Oscar-winning visual effects house and they will be using certain technologies developed for the movie “Avatar.” They will be using photo-realistic apes instead of costumed actors which will be for the first time ever in the film series.
“Rise of the Apes” is set in present day San Francisco it is an origin story in the truest sense of the term origin. It is a science fiction/science fact blend of a reality based cautionary tale. When man’s own experiments with genetic engineering start to spin wildly out of control, it leads to apes being highly intelligent. And the onset of a war for supremacy begins.
So what happens between the humans and the apes? Are they eventually able to be controlled? Do they raise havoc on the United States of America? Let’s just hope that the apes can be lassoed back into where they belong before they cause too much damage. I guess that we will just have to wait and see what the movie says for itself!
