The 82nd annual Oscars award show was sunday night and this is a night when all the stars shine. A lot happens on the night of the Oscars in Hollywood, you will see just about every actor there is, including some you haven’t seen for some time. Last night the Oscars went over well. And even the Oscars there were other parties going on, so it was truly a night to remember.
At the Vanity Fair Oscar Party Alec Baldwin admitted hosting the Oscars was very nerve wracking and yet he had a great tie creating comedy with Steve Martin. Plus which Oscar winning actor does Alec say everyone adores. A lot was covered in just a few short hours for one night. For example, the categories and nominees were best picture, Precious and Avatar, the Hurt Locker, Up in the Air, Inglourious Bastards, Up, Invictus, The Blind Side, District 9, An Education, a Serious Man, with The Hurt Locker getting the award. As far as actors, Morgan Freeman-Invictus, George Clooney – Up In The Air, Jereemy Renner – The Hurt Locker, Supporting actor – Woody Harrelson – the messenger. Christopher Waltz – Inglourious Bastards. Stanley Tucci – the Lovely Bones. Matt Damon – Invictus, Christopher Pummer – The Last Station, Sandra Bullock – the blind side.
Gabourey Sidibe – Precious based on the novel by Sapphire, Meryl Streep – Julie and Julia Carey Mulligan – Crazy Heart. Mo’nique – precious based on the novel Sapphire. Anna Kendrick – Up in the Air, Vera Farmiga – Up in The Air. Animated feature film Coraline, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The Princess and the Frog, The Secret Of Kells, and Up. Art Direction; Avatar – Rick Carter and Robert Strombergl, Nine – JohnMyhre, Sherlock Holmes – Sarah Greenwood. The young Victoria – Patrice Vermette, Cinematography, The Hurt Locker – Barry Ackroyd. Inglourious Bastards, Christian Berger, Harry Potter and the half Blood Prince – Bruno Delbonnel. Director, Kathryn Bigelow – The Hurt Locker – Lee Daniels and Precious, Wuentin Tarantino – Up in the air, Jason Reitman, Jason Cameron – Avatar.
These are just a few of the awards given for the 82nd annual oscar Awards show. Although it seemed that the Hurt Locker seemed to get the most attention from every angle. After the fact it always seems that someone somewhere has a huge after the osacrs party. All of the celebrities looked fabulous and all who received awards looked in total awe which is good if you get too confident that you are going to win the nomination you probably aren’t very far from being the truth. It was good night for everyone.
