New photos of the upcoming action thriller The Raven are now available online. John Cusack stars in fictionalized account of the last days of Edgar Allan Poe’s life, in which the poet is in pursuit of a serial killer whose murders mirror those in the writer’s stories.
Joining Cusack in the film are Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson, and Oliver Jackson Cohen. Joaquin Phoenix was reportedly in negotiations to star in the project together with Jeremy Renner. Negotiations with Phoenix fell apart and Renner went on to do the upcoming Mission Impossible movie. The movie started filming on November 9, 2010 in Belgrade and Budapest.
This upcoming thriller is directed by James McTeigue, based on a screenplay by Ben Livingston and Hannah Shakespeare and will be distributed by Rogue Pictures and Relativity Media. It is scheduled for release on March 9, 2012. Check out The Raven Movie Pictures here.
