Kevin Costner could be headed to superman according to some reports, it is rumored that he would be up for a part in the superman reboot. The potential role is unknown at this stage though some age appropriate speculation could lace Kevin Costner as Perry White among others. Still best known for his work in the late 80’s and early 90’s on different films and projects this would mark his first comic book adaptation.
As of right now the producers and directors have set a target release date for December of 2012. However this could be changed. The superman film is being released by Warner Bros. Pictures, and the director is Zack Snyder. This is an action packed film with the main theme being an adventure to follow along to. The new superman reboot is supposedly going to be named “The Man of steel”. of course the rumored story involves Luthor and Brainiac. It is not an origin and assumes audiences already know about Lois Lane, Clark Kent, Jimmy and Perry. The daily planet is struggling due to the internet. Goyer is expected to take the movie back to the John Byrne incarnation and set up a huge kryptonian mythology. Kevin Costner will most likely be in the film somewhere although as stated above he could presumably fit in a few of the character roles that still need to be filled in the movie.
