Another person could be cast as another important piece of the Superman mythos. It has been reported that Julia Ormond has been offered the role of the birth mother in the upcoming Man Of Steel. Ormond is best known for appearances in films like Legends of the fall and, more recently, the Curious Case of Benjamin Button.she would likely appear opposite Russell Crowe who was recently offered the part of Superman’s father.
Set to be released in December of 2012, it is being released by Warner Bros. Pictures. It is starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, and Julia Ormond.
Henry Cavill is the new Clark Kent a.k.a superman, who will go toe to toe with General Zod in the film. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent.
