It has long been rumored to play a part in Christopher Nolan’s Batman sequel after his turn in the director’s Inception last year, Joseph Gordon- Levitt now reported according to sources to be in talks for a role in the Dark Knight Rises.
Currently filming Rian Johnson’s Looper, Gordon -Levitt has not officially been cast and, as of yet, there is no studio confirmation that he is even being sought to appear. That said, the actor has preemptively been the subject of much internet speculation regarding who he might play in the DC Universe and, as such, has certainly proven himself popular with Nolan fans. The film the Dark Knight Rises is slated to be released July 20,2012. It is being released by Warner Bros. This action adventure and drama will have you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. David Goyer is now writing the next Batman installment with Chris Nolan’s brother Jonah. No plot details, villains or cast have been announced. We do know that some of the cast is as follows, Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, and Anne Hathaway. If any other details come to our attention we will be sure to pass them on to you. Be sure and check back in such case that there might be more details about the Dark Knight Rises or the fact that it is confirmed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt is cast into the film.
