There’s been talk about a 3D version of Titanic for a while but now James Cameron has given USA today an estimated release frame. According to sources they are shooting for 2012 for the release of a Titanic in 3D. Which by the way is the 100th anniversary for the ship. He added that Avatar might return in 3D too.
According to sources they aren’t finalizing anything yet, in other words the movies as of now are inspirations. They aren’t officially saying the two movies will be like this. They are hoping however that the script will come up and that the two different projects will actually happen. Its one thing to talk about the movies but filming and creating them is another story altogether.
The latest film that is even close to what they want to do is Alice In Wonderland. If they can come up with something like this that is what they want to do. The real question is if people will actually go to the theaters to see these movies when they have been out before, this time it will just be in 3D.
In essence, for many people that really doesn’t matter so that is a concern that they have when having the concept by the directors. Its no secret that both movies have brought great monetary value to box offices and they are still bringing it in with Avatar. So, if they come out with another version just like it and one like the Titanic are people going to go to theaters or not.
