Henry Cavill has revealed his super-diet and super-workout regime that made him to be in the required shape and build for playing Clark Kent in the new “Superman” reboot due in 2013.
28-year-old Henry Cavill, who stars as the iconic American hero Clark Kent in director Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”, said that playing Superman was not an easy task as he had to push his body beyond its normal limits for the role.
Henry Cavill worked hard to fit in the costume of the superhero. The Brit also spoke about his heavy diet and workout regime he is still on.
He said, “I’m on 5000 calories a day… You’ve got to eat protein first, then a little bit of carbs…you’ve gotta keep your hunger levels going. I’m training two and a half hours a day, pushing my body beyond its normal limits, putting on a lot of muscle mass and just making myself look like Superman.”
The much-awaited “Man of Steel” starring Henry Cavill will hit theaters June 14, 2013. The main cast also includes Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent. This is going to be an awesome movie!
