In what would be a surprise move, Warner Bros. has allegedly offered the job of director on Xerxes to Guy Ritchie and makes the claim, saying that Ritchie has been asked to do the follow up too.
Xerxes is said to tell of the history of the kings of kings and his rise to power in fifth century BC. Supposedly beginning about ten years before 300, a prequel would aloso offer an opportunity for Gerard Butler to reprise his role as Leonidas.
The release date for this action packed drama is to be announced. And it of course will be released by Warner Bros as stated above. Xerxes rose to power in Persia and became known as the king of kings, eventually raising and leading a massive army intent on ruthlessly destroying the hated Greeks who killed his father.
