This comedy is playing in theaters now and its rated PG 13 but it is simply hilarious! It seems there is a dysfunctional family that lives on an island in the Bronx? And doesn’t avoid anything about the truth about their messed up lives in this dark family comedy. I can only imagine how this movie plays out. There are so many dysfunctional families in the world today, we can probably all relate to this movie. Regardless of what the outcome is the fact remains the family has problems. The main family man is a prison guard who is really wanting to become an actor. With a 300 pound neighbor there are so many different things that hang a dark cloud around the family. And, climbing out to be the perfect the family seems impossible,
No matter what they do it comes out to be the wrong decision, thus the dysfunctional family. One of the family members moonlights as a stripper. This comedy will have you laughing so hard you will be falling out of your seat or in tears laughing so hard. In some parts it actually seems ridiculous because they all want a new career.
One is doing this, another is trying that, yet another is going in circles, but none of them are coming together to do it together and not all alone. They are supposed to be a family but they aren’t. Sometimes a family needs a rock they can rely on but that definitely isn’t the mother or father in this movie. The movie does have a web site that you can go to and read to see if this is a movie you might want to watch. Take the entire family they will love it, you’d be surprised how many families in the world are just like this now, but thankfully somehow we all work it out for the best.
