We have waited for several years for Ricky Martin to come out of the closet and admit that he's gay. The world practically knew it all along. But now Ricky Martin has announced that he is in fact gay. Ricky came out on Monday posting on his blog, 'I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am.'


Fans flocked his website after hearing the news on several gossip websites. This frenzy caused high traffic to his website causing some technical difficulties.


Ricky Martin has been admired by women for years as a hot, sexy Latin singer. Ricky previously had a long-term affair with Latin TV host and model, Rebecca de Alba.

Ricky's decision to finally come out of the closet came to light because of his twin boys who were born by surrogacy in 2008. He stated in his blog, 'To keep living as I did up until today would indirectly diminish the glow that my kids were born with.'


For many years, people who he loved dearly kept telling him not to come out with sexuality because it would ruin everything he worked so hard for and no one would accept him as a gay man. So he kept the truth hidden.
