In the past few weeks celebrities have bee coming to the aid of those who endured the flood that hit Nashville. Many of the musicians homes were a total loss. In essence many of them were on tour and had no way of protecting their homes. Although many of the musicians and singers that were home had no way of protecting their homes either. Singers like Kenny Chesney along with others' homes have literally been condemned.
Just as celebrities went out by donating their time or donating financially for Haiti once again they are pulling together and helping by doing telethons and other charitable events. But this time they are helping here at home. To name every person who lives in Nashville who lost something or their entire home would make for a very long list. The question is what can you do for them? Some celebrities have actually challenged their fans to do something to help the Nashville flood victims. There are places that are taking families in and some celebrities are comparing this flood to Katrina in New Orleans. And to those in Nashville they feel that way too. The president declared it a disaster emergency in Nashville and even the Grand ole Opry was flooded. This is a place where many musicians who went on to become celebrities got their start. Billy Ray Cyrus was a musician that went on to act and another you could mention is Reba McEntire just to name a couple that became celebrities after being musicians, and you can almost guarantee they still have ties in Nashville by some means. You can help too just as many celebrities in Hollywood have come together to aid in the clean up so that Nashville can get back to life as they knew it, or as close as they can. There are some things residents in Nashville will never be able to replace but getting life back together as the celebrities and others help Nashville will be the home of country music again.
