Its hard to explain about what I am trying to say so I will just come out and say it. Why does Hollywood have to make so many remakes? I mean there are so many different movies that are literally spin offs from different shows. Just like Star Trek, it was great on television and then the film makers decide to make a movie called Star Trek. And that was only one of the remakes. If you think about it there are alot of them. The Dukes Of Hazard became a movie remake of the television show too.
There are so many its hard to keep track. Can't they come up with new topics or new screenplays for new movies? I don't understand why they have to all but duplicate the movies sometimes. There's got to be a way to create some new compilations of scripts for movie theaters. There are so many like Alice in Wonderland, Sherlock Holmes, these were all on television first. Maybe I am just being old fashioned but you used to could tell the original from a remake. And even the movies are being remade only the names are being changed.
Need an example? Abduction is a new movie coming out but its really a remake of Rapt. And the list goes on. I can hardly keep up. War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise they just did a remake of the one created in the 70's. It shouldnt be like that. Not from where I am sitting. Eventually people won't go to the theaters if they keep doing it that way, people will wait for it to come out on DVD. after all they have seen it before its just a remake and updated. So many movies have been made like that it is easier to just wait for them to come out on DVD really. And, Doctor dolittle, there's another one, first on television then they make a movie.
Why is that so? Its crazy. Is there anyone else that is thinking the way I am? Can't Hollywood come up with new things instead of what seems like repeats? They need to get with the program and know that people like me like to go to the movies to see original work not remakes of movies or television shows I have already seen. If I'm not the only one that thinks like this let me know, so I don't think I am alone about this subject.
