And it will also go to flood relief organizations like Red Cross that is also trying to help. The town was knocked all over when a massive storm ripped through the city destroying a lot of homes and businesses. It even got to the grand ole opry.
Sources say the flood killed 30 people in three states and Taylor wants to help all that she can. Taylor Swift moved to Nashville when she was fourteen years old. She was at home in Nashville when the storm hit and said she couldn’t believe what was going on. It was awful to go through and worse when the flooding started.
Sources say that Taylor told them Nashville is the reason she gets to do what she loves to do, and that’s where it all started with tears in her eyes. Many homes of country music singers got hit too, Kenny Chesney’s house will be condemned it was hit so hard and just like Taylor there are things they had that just can’t be replaced. Although she is hoping that by helping financially they can rebuild some of Nashville. She compared it to New Orleans with Katrina at one point saying now she really knows how they felt. There are many people in crisis there and the cleanup has already started but she says it will be a long journey back but when they are finally finished it will be worth it.
She left pleas for people to help in any way they could. Financiallly, physically, cleaning up, or whatever else they could do, just take a family in, they would be grateful. Taylor Swift says she is just one of many donating because of the homes and lives that were lost.
