According to sources Simon Cowell was misunderstood during an interview. He said he would consider it a disappointment if the X Factor didn’t have 20 million viewers on its first outing on FOX.
That was a big misunderstanding Simon told sources. He wasn’t saying he wanted 20 million for the first episode. He meant he wants to hit 20 million eventually. Of course that went out there and he thought he had really opened his big mouth here because anything under 20 is a disaster he added.
Simon did however, tell sources he predicts the “X Factor” will have 20 million viewers at some point in time. The X Factor returns for its third week of episodes on Wednesday.
Simon said he does believe the show will hit those numbers, telling the sources to remember it is a new show. In addition to commenting on those number predictions, Simon also offered a further description of what D.O.A which he recently used during audition rounds, means.
They use the term D.O.A on the show for those who aren’t going to make it.
