According to sources Simon has said he has a good reason for leaving American Idol at the end of the season and his reply is he’s bored. He said after a while you tart to be on automatic pilot. There were too many times he sat at the judges table and he was very bored. People deserve more of that and sources say he is bored.
Although he’s not tired with reality competitions though, leaving the U.S edition of the UK hit the X Factor. And as he sat and talked with Oprah he still gets excited and charged out of sitting at any judges table.
Simon chuckled and stated that he liked doing it. I remember Idol listening for a singer three minutes I lost myself in a trance because he was so bored. In his eyes there are no upper age limits, the contestants just do what they came to do and hope for the best. Although Simon feels its time to move on because even a few rules change for the Idol judges.
Simon claims he has no idea whether its going to work or not, but he will put success and failure on whenever he can find a star. His leaving the group brings a bit of controversy however for the producers as they had to find someone to replace him.
