According to sources the singing sensation teen did not appear at the State fairs in Delaware but cancelled them instead. Sources say it was due to the fact of her having strained vocal chords and she wasn’t able to sing. She issued a statement that she was disappointed that she couldn’t sing and hoped her fans understood.
Gomez plays on a television show called “Wizards of Waverly Place” and she is also starring in the movie “Ramona and Beezus” which is in theaters now playing. The Disney teen is very popular among the younger generation and there were several tickets sold for the event at the state fair in Delaware. She cancelled her concert on short notice as well. Some fans traveled a fair distance to see her shows.
Delaware officials stated that the shows could not be rescheduled before the end of the state fairs and full refunds would be given to those who had already purchased tickets directly from the Delaware State fair for those who wanted to see her show. There was no dispute about the refunds.
Selena has cancelled other performances and her next show in Ohio has been rescheduled for November. All star weekend would take her place at the Delaware state fair. Many of her fans were disappointed and really wanted to see her in person at the fair. There was no comment from her spokesperson when sources tried to contact them.
However, as far as the movie she is in, it is doing well in the theaters and the box offices. The director is happy that it is going so good. Selena the teen star will be back on her feet in no time according to other sources that know her.
